FLEB's HANDY-DANDY TEN-COMMANDY STOCK LICENSE

This usage license covers your usage of any of FLEB's stock imagery, or other content for which I specifically apply this agreement. This agreement DOES NOT override any other specific terms which I may set out on a case-by-case basis.

1.) APPLICABILITY: This applies to you, unless it does not.

2.) COMMERCIAL USE? SURE! -- It's you and not me getting off their ass and becoming lucrative from it, so go for it. (Of course, I'd always be willing to accept a cut.) Just make sure you're following all the other terms. Of course the imagery comes with no warrantees, guarantees, or anything else ending in -tees.

3.) CREDIT? PLEASE! -- I'd love some. If you're going to use this, please credit me. A note and link in the description or metadata would be fine if you're using it on a site with that capability. Otherwise a small on-image credit would be appreciated. If you're going to use this, please drop me a note as well with a link or sample of the finished work. I'm always interested. Of course, this is all just a request, not a demand. I know how a perfect piece can be marred by having credits plastered all over it, or what a pain it is to track people down for credits.

4.) YOU MAY NOT, however, actively misrepresent the source of the imagery. Don't say you took the picture.

5.) UNMODIFIED REDISTRIBUTION is prohibited. You may not redistribute this image unmodified, or with only trivial modifications (resizing, crop, file-format, printed), either alone or in a compilation without my consent. You may trivially modify this image in a tutorial, explanation, critique, or other similar educational purpose, but such modification should be clearly placed in such a context. In short: You can do something with it but you can't just redistribute it.

6.) EXCEPTIONS-- You may use the imagery to illustrate or demonstrate a "trivial" modification, such as demonstrating color correction or creative cropping, within the proper context.

7.) COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARK LIABILITY -- You assume all risk and liability for your use of the imagery. I will not be responsible for any legal problems. The imagery may contain elements copyrighted or trademarked by third parties (for instance, a sign or a distinctive architectural work within a street-scene photograph). Use it at your own risk.

8.) CONTENT LIMITATION -- You may not use the imagery for purposes of pornography or unlawful purposes, or to defame or negatively represent models/other persons. Models or other persons in the imagery may not be depicted as endorsing a product or service. Interpretation of these limitations is at my sole discretion.

9.) EXCLUDED "META-DATA" ELEMENTS -- This license DOES NOT include marks such as personal trademarks, "avatar" icons, logos (unless the art consists of a logo) ownership designation, descriptive text, or other elements which are only included for descriptive purposes. Such elements may not be reproduced and should be removed from the image when it is used.

10.) TWEAKABILITY -- I reserve the right to modify this license as needed, The applicable license will be the latest current version a.) here, b.) referenced from here c.) referenced from the imagery, or d.) referenced from my deviantArt account and referred to as FLEB's HANDY-DANDY TEN-COMMANDY STOCK LICENSE, regardless of the date of the art.

License updated 2006/09SE/25.

Have at it, although I might revise it in the next couple days. This was done up about 12-2AM local, so I don't know how sound it is.

Yeah, if anyone wants to use or adapt this license for their own use, I ask only two things: Take my name and handle off it, and realize that it hasn't been legally tested for soundness, and comes without ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.

Art is dead, but FLEB just keeps on going.
